It’s Never Too Early to Start Learning
DPA summer camps are youth camps supervised by professional adults, that strives to foster personal growth for children by providing them fun, safe educational/recreational programs, outdoor experiences and group activities while away from home during the summer months. DPA camps also fill the gap between school and home by providing a positive, welcoming environment where kids and teens can have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults.
Whether it’s called the summer setback or summer slide, the learning loss students experience over the summer can have a significant impact on their performance in the upcoming school year. The DPA Summer 6-8 Math Camp will minimize learning loss by helping your child review key skills from the previous grade and get ahead for the next grade! Each summer bridge math program is taught by a dedicated instructor who has experience working with elementary school students.
WHO SHOULD ENROLL
The program is open to any student in grades 6-8 seeking an engaging environment in which to explore fun, relevant math topics.

Summer Jam is our four-week day camp held at Deland Preparatory Academy. Children who attend Summer Jam experience hands-on, fun learning activities including cooking classes, art, photography, music, outdoor sports, field trips, spiritual enrichment, and more. Most importantly, the students will have access to an array of books that academically challenge and enhance their reading ability even throughout the summer months.
When school is out for the summer, children need the opportunity to continue having enriching experiences in a safe, supervised environment. During the summer months, there is a tendency for students to fall behind. Also known as the ‘summer slide’, students often lose most of their academic gains from the previous school year. In fact, according to national research, children from lower-income homes can fall two to three months behind in their reading during the summer months.
For that reason offers affordable opportunities for children to attend our summer camps.
Camp Highlights
To kick off Summer 2021 Camp with a bang, all campers will receive a Summer Fun Kit filled with markers, crayons, hand sanitizer, a jump rope, pencils, bubbles, a mask, and more so that each Camper would be well prepared to participate in all summer activities.
